Does anyone purchase their gas from Wal-Mart? I used to purchase gas from them but the last couple of weeks they seem to be trying to push up the gas prices.
We have three major gas stations in our town. Wal-Mart always raises the price first. Not by a just a penny, but by a dime. They leave it there for a day or two and then lower it back to the price of the other two stations. The other two stations have not raised their prices.
When the price of gas was lowered the other two stations lowered the price accordingly. Wal-Mart left the their price higher for a complete day. A company the size of Wal-Mart, surprises me that they would be raising the prices. I would expect it from the smaller stations, but not Wal-Mart and all their commercials about rolling back prices and lowering prices. I guess that does not include fuel.
I always buy my gas from Sam's club, which is an affliate of Walmart. They are always a few cents cheaper there.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a Sam's club down here. I was purchasing my gas at Walmart until the last couple of weeks. I thought it was funny actually because they started doing this with the gas prices right after they started running the commercial about matching prices if they were not the lowest price. I wonder if that goes for gas also.
ReplyDeleteWalmart here doesn't sell Gas but their counter part Sam's Club does. I heard on the news last week that Oil dropped so we should see a SIGNIFICANT change at the pumps... Yeah right, not hear in CA, maybe a penny or too....

ReplyDeleteYeah the same here, when gas was going up it was increasing by 7 to 10 cents at a time. Now that is going down it has dropped one penny.
